Ethan Boyd

I am a business student at StFX finishing my second year and am writing to express interest in working as a business intern over the summer. I live in Calgary and would love to have the opportunity to work within the city before I go back to Nova Scotia for my next semester at STFX. In university I have completed courses in Marketing, Economics, Technology management, financial management and Accounting. I am especially interested in finance and technology management and I am eager to gain more experience before I return to university for the fall semester. I promise to be dedicated, hardworking and cooperative on a team. I am a kind and compassionate individual who can be counted on to dependable and transparent with my work. I am part of a global non-profit initiative called Enactus that focuses on the development of student led entrepreneurial projects that are committed to improving the community. In addition, I volunteer with our student food bank. I have experience working with customer service and have been a valuable member of the teams Iv’e worked for. I have also spent time assisting at a summer camp for children with varying disabilities called “Camp Bonaventure.” I have volunteered at the “Drop-in Center” and “In from the Cold” which are facilities dedicated to helping homeless people. I am a loyal employee who always shows up on time, meets deadlines and goes above and beyond to create value in a company and foster a positive work environment. I believe many of my skills could be a good fit for your company and I would love to have the opportunity to work with you as a summer intern.
