  • Was employed in the Core Lab at LHSC performing Chemistry , Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis testing from March of 2013 until November of 2013 when I began working in the Microbiology Lab in addition to Core lab. By November of 2014 I had made the switch to full time in the Micro Lab , performing bacteriology testing, both manual and automated,including some PCR testing
  • Performed routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to produce accurate results.
  • Prepared laboratory samples for analysis and performed data entry for accurate reporting.

Began employment with HPHA at the St.Marys Memorial Hospital site in June of 2004, a small 20 bed site where interdepartmental collaboration was a necessity to ensure quality patient care, with a busy outpatient and emergency department.

From September of 2006 until March of 2013, worked at the larger site of Stratford General hospital- performed venipuncture, routine hematology, coagulation, blood gas analysis, chemistry, urinalysis, blood transfusion and also performed ECG's while working midnights.

  • Operated highly specialized laboratory equipment to process specimens, including the Abbott Architect c4000, Cell Dyne Ruby and the Stago Coagulation analyzer
