My name is Jiahao Luo; I grew up in Shanghai, China. I am currently studying at the University of Toronto. I am majoring in studio art, art history, and visual culture. For coursework, I did a lot of Adobe projects using applications like Photoshop and After Effects, diving deep into art history and artist lecture experience. My spare time is filled with fashion. I love to do tons of research on each piece of clothing. Understanding the rich history and design of it made me feel happy. Buying clothes and styling myself is my daily routine; playing around with the combination inspires me sometimes. I am a quick adapt person; I may fail in some parts of my life, but I will adapt quickly and keep going. In addition, I got experience on the high school basketball team and jobs at McDonald's. These experiences made me think about the power of working in a group and communicating adequately. Internship for me is an experience of society and prework for future jobs. I love to test all the obstacles at work and find the best way out. I am a challenging fashion lover, an artistic mind, and a team-working person. Performance-driving leader adept at aligning cross-departmental objectives to facilitate high-quality, on-time productions and long-term customer loyalty. Creative and innovative problem-solver exercises key strengths in workflow optimization, process re-engineering and strategic scheduling techniques. Offers track record of delivering superior-quality results for industry-leading publication conglomerates.
Post images and videos about fashion on TikTok and Instagram. I am a big fashion lover and started styling on my own when I first fell in love with fashion in 2021 with the brand Fear of God. After that, I found great interest in archive fashion and vintage items, such as Undercover, Rick Wens, and Balenciaga; finding historical items on Grailed or other fashion platforms changed my life——Understanding the history of a brand and the design story of each item showcases a love for fashion. Studying a piece's fabric, shape, design elements, and so on can make me very interested. Doing styling for myself every single day was enjoyable and satisfying. Right now, I have over a few thousand fans for all platforms. I am studying studio art and visuals at the University of Toronto; my background study of the art world information may also help support the whole design team.
One day-long pop-up of my friend's archive treads in Queen St., west Toronto. I helped him bring all his historical archive clothing to the store before the day, arrange all the objects, and display them. You have to think about the space in the store and regenerate it for lots of time as a final perfect composition. It helped me immensely in my experience as an assistant, and I got to know all the pre-work for a fashion show.
The job at McDonald's is the first job I've had in my life. I took this job in the summer of high school. The overall working time is 8 hours daily, and I worked for two months. The daily routine is simple; I answer various questions from customers and help the back kitchen cook. As I finished this job at 16, I richened my communication experience in a team—understanding the best way to negotiate with others. Furthermore, I learned so much about the job of working in a restaurant. It was complicated and tedious, but It made me more determined to do what I love in fashion.
