As the director of publications for the Criminology Society at York University, I attended meetings with other directors and vice presidents to discuss our upcoming publications and assign fragments to create to be published in our newsletters, as well as annual meetings with all club members to discuss events and upcoming projects. I assisted with planning and creating material for the newspaper, as well as participating in conversations and supporting the growth of CSY's online presence through social media marketing.

As a writer for Her Campus Media on behalf of York University, my role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities. I research and craft written content for various platforms, including blog posts, articles, and marketing materials, ensuring that each piece resonates with our audience and reflects the university's values. Collaboration is at the heart of our creative process, as I actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for innovative content campaigns. Moreover, I pride myself on my ability to adapt my writing style and tone to suit different audiences and platforms, ensuring that our messaging remains engaging and relevant. In this dynamic environment, effective communication with my team members is key; I actively engage with them to gather information and insights that inform and enhance our content-creation efforts. Together, we strive to showcase the vibrant academic community and the myriad opportunities that York University offers to its students and beyond.

As an invoicing processor working in an accounts payable, I was responsible for processing invoices, verifying purchase orders, and issuing payments to vendors. In this role, I was responsible for carefully checking purchase orders and sending payments to suppliers promptly. I maintained accurate records of all financial transactions and ensured timely and accurate payments to suppliers. I also reconciled accounts and assisted with month-end closing procedures. In addition, I communicated with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable. Records of the company's finances were meticulously managed and kept, ensuring that payments to vendors were made on time and without error. Effectively collaborated with several internal departments as well as external suppliers to proactively identify and resolve anomalies and issues pertaining to accounts payable. Throughout my time in this role, I was able to hone my skills in the areas of analysis and problem-solving, in addition to honing my ability to pay close attention to the smallest of details. I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.

As a Payroll Clerk, one of my primary responsibilities was to offer vital support to the payroll team by providing a well-structured and efficient work environment. This involved overseeing the organization and filing of crucial documents, maintaining a tidy and easily accessible storage space, and additionally aiding the reception area by managing phone inquiries, welcoming guests, and guiding them to the appropriate staff members. Since I was responsible for a variety of responsibilities while also adhering to stringent time constraints, I was required to acquire great organizational and time management abilities. In addition, I was able to get significant experience working in a fast-paced team atmosphere and cooperating with coworkers to ensure that the payroll processing was precise and completed on time.
