* As an operating room circulating nurse my job is to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff members at all times. This involves adhering to strict protocols for infection control, preparing and sterilizing equipment, and monitoring the operating room for any potential hazard.

* Most surgical cases are general surgery, urology, OBGYN, podiatry, vascular surgery, and minor orthopedic surgeries.
*Some duties include, preparing surgical suites according to the
surgeon preference.

*Analyze patient outcomes to determine effectiveness of interventions by examining pain scores before and after medication adjustments in the post anesthesia care unit.

* I have developed and coordinated care plans for pre and post-operative patients based upon assessments, policies, guidelines and
standards of practice by assessing their
needs, collaborating with surgical teams, and designing individualized care plans.
*For preoperative patients, I ensured thorough preparation and facilitated necessary tests.

*For postoperative patients, I monitored recovery, managed
pain, and provided education on wound care.

* In the operating room I have prepared wounds for surgical procedures and completed dressing changes on HIV or immune-compromised patients by prioritizing meticulous
adherence to infection control protocols.

* I have provided information in an emergency or crisis, such as
during a code blue. I effectively provided
information to the emergency response team by assessing the situation rapidly and communicating critical details such as
vital signs and when the next dose of epinephrine is due.

* I have monitored patient outcomes in regards to infectious disease management through proper ppe and isolation protocols.

* I have administered daily medications via doctors
orders and verified the patient’s identification prior to administration via patient's name, birthday and wristband ID.

* I verified the medication was taken by placing medication in a cup, handing it to the patient with water, then visualize the mouth after
the patient swallowed.

* I also administered medications per doctor’s orders through
intravenous lines and manage I.V. pumps and sites for patency.

* Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.

* Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.

* Administered medications via by mouth, intravenously, or intramuscular safely according to established guidelines and physicians/ mid wife orders while closely monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions requiring intervention.
