- As a Registered Nurse in a high-acuity unit, I provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients requiring complex medical support. I routinely perform advanced nursing interventions, including the insertion and management of IVs, catheters, NG tubes, and administration of IV medications and blood products. I have extensive experience with enteral feeding tubes (G-tubes, NG tubes, J-tubes), as well as managing chest tubes and various forms of oxygen therapy. I collaborate closely with the interprofessional team to monitor patients for physiological and psychological changes, proactively addressing complications, and furthermore contributing to effective, patient-centered care planning and decision-making.

- I had the pleasure of working for Lakeridge Health Bowmanville from May 2022-September 2022 as a Clinical Extern. I worked in the medicine unit where my responsibilities revolved around patient-centered care. I would take their vitals, assess for abnormalities, wash and change patients as necessary and monitor their ongoing health. On the holistic side of my duties, I would have meaningful interactions with the patients to keep them cognitively stimulated and furthermore build therapeutic relationships to help support them in recovery.
