  • Assess the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions in the dispensary.
  • Collaborate with other pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to optimize drug therapy and resolve potential drug related problems.
  • Provide recommendations and answer drug related questions from other health care professionals.
  • Familiar with packaging processes at the desk and IV room in which I can assist the other pharmacy team members in.
  • Clinically trained on orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, and currently work in intensive care. In these areas I work closely with the physicians on providing medication management, prescribe and order lab work both independently and in concert with the team.
  • Trained in home parenteral therapy. Here I work independently dispensing antibiotics and palliative pain treatment to patients in an outpatient setting. This includes assessing the appropriateness of therapy, following up on lab work and with the patients to ensure effectiveness and safety of therapy. Also manage the logistics of dispensing medications to several locations.
  • Contribute to pharmacy committees including; Emergency Department Pyxis Committee, Pharmacy Staffing Phasing Framework Committee, and currently the Medication Request Review Group and ICU Pyxis Committee.
  • Precept students.
  • Part of the Flu Crew Team for 2021/2022 where we organize flu clinics to help immunize the pharmacy team members.
