  • While working with Superior Renovations, I performed many renovations related construction jobs. I am proficient at general construction of walls, and floors, installing and finishing drywall. I am proficient in tiling and grouting kitchens and baths, painting walls and trim. I have developed excellent time management skills and am adept at working alone or with others in a team setting. I take instruction well and strive to finish tasks correctly and on time. I have led major renovation projects on high end residential projects including complete basement refitting. I have also worked on light commercial office retrofitting, working on a dentist office and an office refit. In all my projects I was involved in the estimation and costing of materials as well as setting acceptable deadlines and targets for completion.

  • With RPM Drilling I started out as a traffic control operator but was quickly promoted to Driller's Assistant and finally Driller. I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of a drill rig for geotechnical projects. I was responsible for the supervision of assistants as well as coordinating the associated technicians on site. I was responsible for the daily reporting to head office as well as the required paperwork for the clients. I coordinated extensively with the various engineers, technicians, and clients we worked with. I gained credible knowledge on drilling rigs, drill rigs, and maintenance, fabrication, and welding skills. I performed mechanical work on heavy equipment regularly and am familiar with a wide variety of equipment, including work trucks and other small/medium vehicles, drill rigs, and forklifts. I have become familiar with the operation of various heavy machinery as well. With this job I have gained certificates and for First Aid, WHIMIS, chainsaw/felling, outdoors survival as well as safe handling of flammable materials. I have warehouse experience at our shop with the use of forklifts as well.
