​Currently I am the Shift Supervisor and Control room Operator for Unit Train Operations crew 2 and I over see and run a Operations crew of five Operators during Shift. As a Supervisor I hold Daily and Monthly Safety meetings with Operations. I book vacation and overtime and update the schedule for Operations. I assist in writing and implementing procedures and help train others to use them correctly and safely. I assist in all areas of the Unit, wherever is needed. Constant communication with Management to keep them informed and to make sure we Operate safely and efficiently.

As a Control room Operator I would control the process of Unit train from our DCS control system. Daily communications with the pipeline as we would receive oil into out crude oil tanks. Communicate with the railroad in escorting them into site and scaling them on our weigh scale. Setting up and building load plans and entering the weights into the TMS system so that Operations can load the cars. Assist Logistics with Bad order cars and paperwork. I make sure to do daily, weekly and monthly system check, wherever needed and make sure to have Operations working safely. Daily permit writing as well as Lock outs and tag outs. I communicate with our Maintenance department by entering work order requests, whenever equipment breaks. Mainly making sure the site runs safe and efficient.

I was the Shift Supervisor on Manifest crew 2 Operations. On a daily basis I was in charge of 10 Operations personal. My tasks would include writing permits, doing lock out tag out and training others in all the other units. Holding daily and monthly safety meetings with my crew. I was booking vacation and updating the schedule for our crew. Anything from location switching to loading truck with Hydrocarbons or Chemicals. Making sure all paperwork for truck and rail loading was done correctly and on time. Forcing strict safety measures and making sure my crew used them. 

I was working for Carey Industrial, contracting at Agrium Fertilizer redwater site. I started out working in load out operating a front end loader to scoop fertilizer from granulation and into rail cars and trucks. Then I moved units and spent 2 years unloading rail cars of Phosphate, while operating locomotives and shuttle wagons. Then I was moved into the Phos department where I was in charge of the Acid tank farm, one of the units that made Fertilizer. In 2010 I left Agrium and was placed at Canexus Chemicals site, where I was trained and certified in every Unit. I loaded Caustic ,Acid, Butane, Condensate, Bio Diesel, Diesel and Crude oil. I helped write procedures and assisted in permits and lock outs. In 2013 I was hired on as an employee with what is now called Canexus Corporation.
