Work History

Night Manager, Post-op Recovery Manager

Chiefswood Training Center
07.2024 - 02.2025

As the night manager, i was the only employee on sight to oversee, and care for approximately 60 horses from 9pm-4am. I worked thirteen days on, and had every other Tuesday night off. I cared for 25 were old retired horses, 10-15 mares under lights before they headed to the breeding shed, 12 yearlings during the summer/fall months, and 20-25 racehorses that received time off from Woodbine. Some of which came to the farm with injuries that were sustained while training or racing. I also medicated, and hand walked horses needing extra care after receiving surgery. I cleaned the barn, and bathrooms, re-stocked two barns with hay and shavings, did laundry, and fed breakfast.

  • I publicly trained a mare who was diagnosed with kissing spine for Dr. Brian Vanarem in 2023. I won two races with her, and had two second place, and one third place finish with her. I had my certified PEMF provider, Dr. Laura Trotter adjust her pole, TMJ's and pelvis using chiropractic work once a week before her races, and had her use the magna wave machine once a week for maintenance. Dr. Vanarem was very happy, and appreciative of the care i showed in training his mare. He was the only owner i took on publicly, as i owned the other horses in my stable.
  • My veterinarian was Dr. Victoria Banks, who expressed her appreciation for the care I gave to my horse that sustained a massive bone infection at a farm owned by my partner at the time. I covered all vet bills, and did all the rehab required to bring him back to 100% soundness without question. She expressed multiple times that my care for my horse went above and beyond most horse care providers, and appreciated my interest to learn and understand the injury my horse sustained fully and completely.
  • I purchased my first horse out of the CTHS yearling sale held at Woodbine for $3,000.00. He won his first start at 2 years old for maiden optional claiming $40,000.00 before taking the rest of the year off due to a sore shin. He came back at 3 years old, and placed 3rd for Allowance optional claiming on the turf course. He was nominated in the Queens Plate before sustaining his injury at the farm. I am the youngest female trainer in Canadian history to have a horse nominated in the Queens Plate, and it was with a horse i picked out, broke, owned and trained myself.
