  • Posting all time and disbursement entries, posting the firm's incoming receipts, processing all general cheques, including accounts payable, disbursement cheques and all other office-related expenses;
  • Processing trust cheques and wire transfers in accordance with Law Society requirements;
  • Daily review of all trust transactions to ensure accuracy;
  • Attending to monthly bank reconciliations for multiple trust and general accounts, including journal entries;

  • Ensure file opening procedures are correct and that they are continually maintained, organized and diarized;
  • Obtain relevant information and searches such as Wills Notices, financial and real property records, pension and life insurance policies;
  • Maintain knowledgeable and considerate communication with clients, beneficiaries, accountants, financial institutions and all other professionals;
  • Drafting of all court documents pertaining to the probate application;
  • Preparing draft interim account distribution statements, release and consents and all reporting correspondence to executors and beneficiaries;
  • Composing simple and in depth Wills, Powers of Attorney, Representation Agreements, Healthcare Directives and Codicils;
  • General conveyancing including preparation and filing of Form A and Form 17 transfer documents Property Transfer Tax returns, Transparency Declarations and Transparency Reports;
  • Attending to title searches, requesting Form F and B strata documents and requesting tax deferment payout statements;
  • Native Land transfers; and
  • Drawing up interim and final invoices and reporting to clients.

Additional Duties

  • Assisting with reception coverage;
  • Preparation and amendments of corporate synopsis reports;
  • Corresponding with vendors, clients, benefits provider, accounting firms and financial institutions; and
