I have an extensive and diverse clinical background and I have worked in a regional management role with NL Health Services, Eastern Zones for the last five years. I have demonstrated success influencing and leading change and I possess excellent communication skills. I am confident that my experience, education and personal qualities make me an ideal candidate for this position. In 2020, I completed a Master of Science degree through Dalhousie University (Post-professional, Practice Leader) and I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I have extensive and diverse experience as a Clinical Occupational Therapist, having worked in acute care, long term care and community in rural and urban settings. In my current role as Ergonomic Program Coordinator, I regularly provide assessment, consultation and support to management and staff in clinical and non-clinical environments throughout the Eastern Zones. This unique perspective would be invaluable when engaging and working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders in the scope of this position. I have proven success as a manager, championing and leading change in several key initiatives including the safe patient/resident handling (SPRH) program and the manual material handling (MMH) program roll-outs in NL Health Services.
