RCGC is a smaller daycare with children from six weeks to twelve years old in one room. With many different age groups, staff members must be aware of the development stages and treating the children in a way that was developmentally appropriate. Some responsibilities included cleaning/sanitizing, creating a safe environment, ensuring all children are getting along well, teaching appropriate behaviour, preparing and serving meals, changing diapers, preparing activities, putting infants and toddlers to sleep, creating daily reports of the children using the HiMama app and following the daily schedule.
