Trail Maintenance Crew Supervisor

- Started gold fields district trail crew with various left over hand and power tools. Spent the following year hiring trail crew staff and purchasing equipment needed to maintain district's trail system. Took advise and criticism from managers. Cleaned out provided shop area and made necessary upgrades to water and electrical system while also hiring candidates for pre-determined positions.

- Continued to use carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, concrete and various other skills to meet gold fields district's needs.

- Purchased necessary equipment needed to construct and maintain public trails with knowledge and DPR purchasing processes aquired from previous position, while also using skills aquired outside of work needed to maintain a public trail system.

- Built and maintained trail bridges within the district's trail system using carpentry skills aquired from previous position and skills aquired outside of work.

- Hired more staff and provided them with knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic maintenance of public trails.

Trails Program Coordinator

- Plan, coordinate, construct and reconstruct various trail systems within gold fields district.

- Attend annual District Trails Program Coordinator Training and network with districts trail coordinators outside of gold fields district.

- Supervise gold fields trail crew on various projects throughout gold fields district. With or without direction from management the gold fields district trails crew continues to show productivity when related to trails and non-trails related improvements to gold fields district facilities and infrastructure.

Public Water System Distribution Operator

- Provide monthly bacterialogical water samples to CA Department of Water Resources Board.

- Provide quarterly raw well water samples to CA Department of Water Resources Board.

- Provide annual water usage reports and backflow prevention device test results to CA Department of Water Resources Board.

- Perform maintenance and repairs to public water systems and water treatment facilities within gold fields district.

Maintenance Lead Worker

- Constructed and maintained park facilities and infrastructure including advanced carpentry, electrical and plumbing.

- Operated heavy equipment used to groom OHV tracks/trails, construct and maintain park facilities and infrastructure including back hoes, water trucks, dump trucks, wheel tractors and bull dozers.

- Operated all types of hand and power tools needed to perform various skilled duties including roofing, painting, fence construction, BMP installation on projects with potential for soil movement related to water erosion, drainage installation/maintenance and pouring of concrete slabs, foundations and footings.

- Put together estimates and purchased materials needed to construct and maintain park facilities and infrastructure.

- Acted as lead worker to park maintenance assistants, seasonal employees, volunteers and contracted work crews on large projects requiring assistance from outside agencies.

- Planned, attended meetings and provided input with state parks management and private concessionaires related to special events and day to day park operations.

- Used skills aquired outside of work to go above and beyond required experience level in order to boost job performance. Duties including basic to advanced maintenance/repairs of park vehicles, heavy equipment, hand tools, power tools, small engine and implement repair. Additionally performed basic to advanced welding projects and repairs when necessary.

DPR Purchasing and Outside Services

- Purchased necessary tools, materials and implements needed to maintain park infrastructure by use of company credit card and completed monthly accounting documents required by DPR.

- Completed Agreement for Service contracts for rental of equipment and/or Service Agreements when equipment rentals or services outside of the department was needed to maintain park infrastructure.

- Completed Purchase Orders in situations where large purchases of materials were needed to maintain park infrastructure or complete large scale projects within the park.

- Completed Purchase Orders in situations where large purchases of cleaning supplies were needed to maintain sanitary requirements for park operations.

Public Water System Operation

- Managed potable drinking water system associated with the park including testing of and adjustment of chlorination system to provide safe drinking water to state housing and park visitors.

- Made repairs to pumps, water mainlines and chlorination system.

- Manually tested chlorine levels daily, throuout the park to ensure chlorine levels were within CA Department of Water Resources Board's standards.

- Provided monthly bacterialogical water sample reports to CA Department of Water Resources Board.
