Seasoned IT professional with over a decade of experience, specializing in cybersecurity and technical support. My career journey began with hands-on roles as a Computer Systems Technician, where I applied my IT knowledge to solve technical challenges. I then advanced to an operations Manager position at a catering company, leveraging my background in hotel management to oversee operations and lead a team effectively for five years. After moving to Canada in 2011, I faced the common challenges of newcomers, including adapting to a new country, supporting a young family, and navigating the job market. During this time, I worked overnight shifts as a Dietary Aide at Toronto Western Hospital, demonstrating my commitment to providing for my family and adapting to new work environments. Eager to return to my IT roots, I pursued a cybersecurity internship, where I completed advanced labs in centralized logging, incident response, and network security. Currently, I am further enhancing my skills through a part-time postgraduate diploma in Network Security and Architecture at Fanshawe College, which I expect to complete by early January.
