Since 2019 I have been passionate about horse riding and due to that passion have developed a lot of the skills I believe would also be necessary to be successful in the food and service industry. For instance both require the ability to maintain a calm emotional state at all times. This ensures the safety of the rider and the horse. That same calm state is required to address customers concerns and a work in an often hectic environment. Due to the fact my horse riding training has required me to relocate barns at least six times now I have developed many skills that will benefit me in working as a hostess / server. This ability to adapt to an ever changing “ work “ environment and staying both flexible and independent were crucial to my success.
