Jayce Engel

I'm applying to the FlyJazz program because I'm looking for a long-term career that challenges me and pushes me to grow. I've always been interested in aviation, and I want to learn how to fly because I love the idea of mastering a complex skill and taking responsibility for something important. I know being a pilot comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility, and that's something I'm ready for, my name is Jayce Engel. I graduated from John Rennie High School in 2022 and went on to study 3D art in college. While I enjoyed the creativity and technical aspects of that field, I realized I wanted to do something more impactful, something where I could challenge myself, make a real difference, and build a meaningful long-term career. In 2023, I began working at a nightclub called La Porte, where I quickly moved up to Head Busboy. I now lead the team on shift and manage alcohol preparation. The fast-paced environment taught me how to stay calm under pressure, lead a team, and take on responsibility, all skills I know will transfer well into aviation.
