  • Experience in the utilization of various aircraft alignment fixtures to facilitate aircraft repairs.
  • Working knowledge of computers and related software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, TAA, SharePoint, ConOps, TWMS, JDRS, WMS, TAA etc.)
  • Access to ConOps, SharePoint, NATAC, JDRS, WMS and TAA
  • Experience in constructing, assembling and installing irregular items/systems examples: intake Z-angles, wrap around panel 89/91angles, APU pump handle bracket, fuel cell #4, installation of bushing, Lex webs, replacement of inner wing flap hinges, replacement of outer win panel aileron hinge, trailing edge flap shroud lug repair.
  • Completed all FRCSW mandatory training classes required in blueprint, chemical conversion, egress training, calibrated measuring equipment, Corrosion Control, Hole Quality, Aircraft Fasteners and Cold Work Certification classes.   • Interpret blueprints, technical orders and related instructions to establish locations, dimensions and tolerances.
  • Provide technical advice to production personnel, support organizations, and customers regarding the examination and evaluation results regarding PMI and Depot level repairs.
  • Work directly with personnel in safety office to obtain personal protective equipment(PPE) and communicate safety concerns and issues.
  • Removal, installation and alignment of fuselage parts and airframe subcomponents.
  • Knowledge of all techniques used to assemble metal systems and ability to identify size bolts, screws, rivets and all fasteners associated with aircraft trade
  • Experienced with foot shears, hydraulic shears, band saws, drill presses, belt sanders Sheet metal breaks and other machine tooling specific to metal forming.
  • Familiar with the dissemble, assembly and modification of structural aircraft components.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics and the use of calibrated measuring equipment micrometer, calipers and ball gages to make precision measurements.
  • Communicate with competency office to organize the movement of personnel within the ISR shop, wing shop and Discuses manning issues regarding personnel with specialized skills movement from the PMI line to the ISR shop. Work with office regarding the mandatory training of assigned artisans. Provide input to competency regarding the approval of leave requests of assigned artisans.
  • Experience using verity of tools including punches, drills, chisels, hammers, mallets, shears, rolls, sheet metal brakes, pneumatic riveters, and metal forming machines are used to cut, punch, drill, bend, and otherwise shape sheet metal parts.
  • Experience in fabrication and manufacturing of numerous parts for aircraft repairs to include skins, angles and webs. Utilize wide variety tools in the manufacturing and fabrication of aircraft parts: forming block, sheet metal breaks, shrinker / stretcher, anvil, foot shear, power shear and turret punch.
  • Experience in shop mathematics (geometry, radial, parallel lines, trigonometry) relating to the developmental processes of aircraft parts design
  • Use critical thinking to solve difficult problems that arise during repairs and communicate with Planner & Estimators(P&E), Evaluation & Examiners(E&E) and engineering to obtain solutions to these unexpected problems.
  • Experience in Devising complex templates/patterns into aircraft parts and other components.
  • Work with blueprints and technical drawings required for modifications and repairs of U.S. Navy Aircraft.
