As a professional, I have had the most experience working in educational settings ranging from pre-K to higher education. My strengths include organization and planning, working on a team, working with children and young adults, event planning and graphic design.
I am currently employed as a Residential Advisor at Loyola Marymount University. I organize community events,
moderate conflict and conversation between residents, create graphic designs, and work on a team to create a
comfortable and safe community space in my assigned building.
I was a student teacher in the SPED English and History classes for 6th-8th at Marina Del Rey middle school. I assisted my teacher with her lessons, helped with technology, and taught whole group and small group lessons. I also provided one on one help during individual work time for students when needed.
As a student employee with Campus Ministry at Loyola Marymount University, I was stationed at the front desk to answer questions and provide help to people who came into the Campus Ministry office. I also worked as a "Cave Manager" and provided set up and take down help before and after Sunday Mass.
I was a paraprofessional at Boones Ferry Primary School during their summer school program. I was a para for one child who needed support with his behavioral and academic needs. I also assisted the lead teacher with various needs for the classroom and provided support during instruction.
I was an educational aide at Kentwood Elementary. During my time at Kentwood, I assisted the two first grade teachers for around an hour and 30 minutes during my time, with the rest of my time spent supervising the yard during lunch and recess in which I interacted will all grades. In the classroom, I primarily helped with supporting and leading small groups or one-on-one help, as well as completing other tasks as my teacher requested.
I was a counselor supervisor for Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, a summer camp for adults and children with disabilities. I oversaw the activities of an assigned group
of counselors and campers, and lead counselors throughout the day and monitored their activities,
and reviewed their performance throughout the week. I also provided personal care for
campers and instructed counselors on how to give personal care.
As a student employee at the Office of Black Student Services at Loyola Marymount University, I created
graphic designs, created and coordinated social media posts, organized data and documents for the office, and collaborated with other employees to plan events.
I provided tech help that included organizing data utilizing the program Excel.
I was a camp counselor and childcare provider for the Northeast Community Center. I provided care for and
led children 6-12 in a number of activities around the city and at the community center and facilitated socialization with their peers. I also provided childcare in the evenings during the school year at the community center.
