Hello, I’m Jay Lee, currently residing in South Surrey. I am passionate about helping people achieve a well-balanced, fulfilling life. I believe everyone deserves to learn how to maintain their physical and mental well-being in a way that is energetic and joyful. Though it may sound simple, this requires focus and dedication. I aim to be a supportive presence for those who need guidance in their journey toward improved wellness.
I have volunteered in many different field, and my time volunteering at a wellness center for people with hearing impairments has been the most meaningful experience of my life. During this time, I gained a much deeper understanding of disabilities and developed more specific assistance skills, which were enhanced by my background in body awareness.
As a dancer and teacher, I have always prioritized maintaining my physical condition. After giving birth to three children in four years, I experienced significant physical challenges and pain. I had to listen to my body and focus on my recovery. This personal journey of healing deepened my understanding of body therapy, allowing me to better assist those needing special care. Prior to relocating to Canada, I worked as a personal trainer and employee at a wellness center, focusing on helping others achieve improved physical well-being.
My grandmother raised me until I was in grade 4. As her dementia worsened, I wanted to give back the care she had given me. We hired a caregiver to ensure her safety, and her family coordinated additional support. This experience deepened my empathy for seniors, especially those with limited mobility, and continues to inspire me to help others in similar situations.
I became a elementary teacher in 2010, and I’ve witnessed significant changes in student needs. I emphasized the importance of physical health alongside academic progress, supporting students' wellness through various activities. I am passionate about helping students thrive both mentally and physically.
I have worked as a kids' dance instructor since my freshman year of university, and I became particularly popular with younger children. Parents frequently asked me to babysit their kids or provide additional activities for them. I developed strong skills in spending time with young children and continued this work until I had my own child.
