Sept 2023 - Current

• Paired with and mentored an undergraduate student with an interest in continuing their schooling at the graduate level.
• Guided the student in preparing cover letters, a curriculum vitae, and for interacting with professors.
• Helped to give the student insight into career opportunities and the life of a graduate student.
• Inspired the undergraduate student to continue their schooling and achieve their goals.
• Ultimately became a role model to undergraduate student.

First Response Team (University of Guelph)

Sept 2023 - Current

• Obtained multiple certifications to earn a spot on the highly competitive team (Standard First Aid - CPR Level C - AED, First Responder, opioid poisoning, and Emergency Medical Responder).
• Respond to medical emergencies on campus 24/7.
• Work up to 14-16 hour shifts once a week.
• Work in teams of four to treat patients' physical medical emergencies, mental health emergencies, and make transport decisions when patients require help from a medical doctor.
• Cover sporting and social events as medical event staff.

• Chosen by the coach yearly to represent the Men’s Cross Country/Track team at meetings and events.

• Nominated by faculty and then evaluated, based on their leadership, involvement, and academics.
• There were 50 students to receive the award of which I was awarded a top 20 position.
