My roll as a Field Superintendent was to support my crews anyway possible from dealing with various well conditions, mechanical / technical issues, crewing issues, job preparation to rig inspections, ensuring company policies and OH&S regulations are being followed. I was responsible for hiring field staff to ensure we kept a sufficient head count to man all my rigs. I dealt with the discipline side of things as well and kept accurate records of all positive and negative feed back of my team members.
I was responsible for approving time sheets and reviewing field tickets to ensure accuracy prior to the customer signing it. I presented monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports to my superiors on how my rigs were performing operationally financially and answered for any positive or negative results from those reports.

Oversaw all operations of my coiled tubing rig as well as my crew. Maintaining constant well control, understanding the safe operation and function of BOP's (blow out preventers) was a very important roll for a rig manager.
I worked closely with the office to ensure pay roll was on time and all costs associated with my rig were kept on target. Staying on top of all annual inspections of my rig and organizing / completing maintenance was a big roll of being a rig manager.
Driving coiled tubing units to various locations throughout Alberta and northern BC. I drove on highway as well as in the bush during all weather conditions.
I trained new hires how to rig up a coil rig and ensured they followed all company procedures. I watched over them to ensure they did not put themselves or anyone else in harms way.
I worked closely with the rig manager and ensured all safety paper work and safety drills were completed on time and that everyone knew their roll in a emergency situation. I ensured all daily maintenance records were kept up to date and accurate.
