With over a decade of experience in the oil field industry, notably at Essential Coil Well Services, I've honed leadership skills through 100+ hours of specialized training and maintained a flawless Class 1 driving record. My expertise spans from high-pressure operations to strategic personnel management, showcasing a commitment to safety and efficiency.
In 2012 I started at Essential as a Lead Coil Operator. I was responsible for driving coil rigs from location to location. The rig I drove was a tri drive C 500 with a 24 wheel jeep, the rig was on a 24 wheel trailer and a jeep that had 16 wheels. I was responsible for rigging the rig onto various types of well heads and operating the rig with three rig hands. I took orders from the rig manager as well as the tool hand and On Site Rep for various energy companies across Alberta and northern BC.
In 2014 I moved up to Rig Manager where I was responsible for a masted coil tubing rig along with all the support gear then went along with it including a picker, a high pressure, high rate fluid pumper and a support tractor / trailer that hauled our BOPs and lubricators. I was responsible for the safe operation of the rig and ensuring our operation were within OH&S regulations. I completed all safety documentation and performed various types of drills with my crew to ensure they were ready if something ever went wrong. I was responsible for maintaining my rig with strict maintenance procedures and documentation. I was responsible for my crew even when I was on time off to ensure they were fit for duty and staying within OH&S regulations at all times.
In 2016 I was promoted to Field Superintendent where my responsibilities greatly increased. I was responsible for five coil tubing rigs along with the people that operated them. I mainly dealt with the rig managers but ultimately I was responsible for all 120 people that worked under me. I worked closely with engineers to ensure we were sending the proper equipment to service our customers needs. I was responsible for hiring new employees, discipline employees and at times, terminating employees. I conducted regular rig inspections both on site and at our yard with rigorous check lists during and prior too going to a job. I was on call 24/7 to support my team at anytime of the day or night. If there was a incident I was trained on investigating and creating a report on what happened and how to avoid it from happening again. I was responsible for SOP's (standard operating procedures) and keeping them current as the industry changed. I was responsible for ensuring all my rigs had a competent crew and that they all stayed within hours of service.
I was responsible for mobilizing various types of hot oilers (body jobs and tractor trailers) from the base to location. Rigging in and pumping hydrocarbons down a well under extreme heat and high pressure. Our main job was de waxing wells that were in production that had plugged off.
I ran high pressure pumps for frac support.
During my time at Essential Coil Well Service as a Field Superintendent I have received over 100 hours of management and leadership training through companies like Results which has greatly increased my knowledge on how to professionally deal with issues at the work place, hazard identification, personal issues and incident investigations
I have had a class 1 drivers license since 2005 and have driven many different types of trucks and trailer combinations I have understanding and knowledge of jeeps and boosters I have driven in all kinds of weather as well as off road and highway
I am a loyal employee who does not go from job to job
I have worked around cranes my entire career so they are not completely new to me I understand how rigging works and the certification that goes along with them I have helped with many heavy lifts that required spreader bars and have helped rig them up many times
