I want to teach elementary school because I’m passionate and enthusiastic about laying the foundation for lifelong learning. At this age, students are curious, eager to explore, and full of potential. I want to create a nurturing, universal environment where they feel safe, supported and excited to learn. Social Emotional Learning is a priority for me as a future educator to implement into as many lessons as I can. By fostering their creativity, building their confidence, and feeling supported, I hope to inspire a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives, just as it did for me. Teaching at the elementary level allows me to make a positive impact at a critical stage in child development and set them up for success in the years to come.
With this role, I was responsible for managing property tax payments for Sobeys in Atlantic Canada. I implemented an electronic filing system for all lease documents. With this, I validated the naming conventions of legal agreements in the database. I participated in courses for Diversity and Inclusion, which gave me the opportunity to present my knowledge to my team.
I painted fire hydrants throughout my hometown this summer. I had creative freedom with this project allowing me to make the town brighter. This project brings a lot of engagement and positivity within the community and visitors, I am proud I contributed to this.
