At the beginning of my employment in the health care Practice, I was responsible for building the new practice, which included creating the basics on how the business would run, building cliental etc, scheduling appts and requesting and sending out of client records.
Over the course of my 10 year employment, my responsibilities grew to managing the annual budget, payroll, all aspects of tracking and recording client information, through BORN Ontario for the practice needs and to submit annually to the Ministry of health.
I was responsible for the managing the practice inventory, including, office supplies, client supplies and medications.
I was also partially responsible for applying for additional funding for the next year and also one time specific funding.
On occasion we would be running our practice on 2-3 different pools of funding, which all had to be tracked and budgeted and balanced separately.
I am comfortable working with excel and word.
In addition to my position as Office Manager, I worked as a birthing attendant for 11 years.
In my work as a birthing attendant, I worked closely with both parents and new borns and have made lasting friendships with many of our clients.
