Jan Tsui

I’ve been in Canada for more than 5 years, and I am now pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics in the University of Waterloo, targeting actuarial science programs as my study majors. Overall, I enjoy my life here very much and would like to further develop my career path in the related field. Therefore, I am eager to participate in the co-op program, which would definitely benefit me for achieving this goal.

In Jan. 2023, I successfully earned enough credits to graduate from Sir William Mulock Secondary School. Thanks to this, I have taken a short break to come back to Hong Kong and found a summer job in an electrical engineering company, in which I was mainly responsible for coordinating various renovation projects. These valuable work experiences help me to improve my interpersonal and communication skills which are important for me to become a good and responsible team player and learn how to cooperate with others to get the job done.

I am self-motivated and determined to learn new skills and knowledge that are essential for my career progress. Also, I am confident that my academic background and past work experience would allow me to learn things quickly, creatively and flexibly. In my leisure time, I like to play basketball and piano. They are good activities for me to relieve pressure when facing difficulties, and to resume my energy to deal with any problems encountered.
