Promoted to Training Captain In May 2019. Conducted training on various Great Lakes Vessels and acquired full PM2 Pilotage Certification in December 2019. Have commanded various ships in the CSL Fleet since that time. These included Bulkers and Self-Unloaders in all the various trades of the Great Lakes region. I have been approved as a GLPA Trainer and Evaluator since taking command as Captain.

Chief Officer with Canada Steamship Lines on Great Lakes Vessels. Responsible for the Loading and Discharging on Great Lakes Vessels with regards to Maximizing Cargo Uplift and Stress on the Vessel. Additional duties include managing maintenance of Deck Department, ordering of supplies, crew training, paperwork associated with vessel daily duties, managing crews hours of work and rest, and various other duties that are required of being a Chief Officer on the Great Lakes.

As Chief Officer I was also tasked with Pilotage in the PM1 Districts on the Great Lakes and Seaway. I am also approved as a PM1 Trainer and Evaluator.

Officer of Great Lakes Vessel. Commenced working on Great Lakes in June 2005 as a 3rd Officer. During this time I was tasked with maintaining the Ships Safety Equipment, assisting with the Loading and Discharging of Cargo, conducting the 8-12 Navigation watch while the vessel was in transit and assisting and learning the Great Lakes Trade.

Was promoted to Chief Officer in July 2006. From there I was trained on the variety of Docks and Cargoes associated with the Great Lakes. I achieved my PM1 during this time as well.
