Work History

Senior Bookkeeper

Jamieson L. Lynch Accounting Services
01.2003 - Current
  • I started my bookkeeping business after identifying a need for full service contract accountants that optimize efficiency, reduce costs and administrative burden to entrepreneurs and business owners. Some would look to optimize processes already in place. The vast majority needed help dealing with government imposed deadlines and remittances. My expertize ranges from the forestry industry to fisheries, tourism and restaurateurs.

General Manager and Financial Controller

Silvers Garage (2008) Ltd / East Cost Int.
10.2019 - 03.2025

My entry into the Truck and Transport industry began at Silver's Garage. I was hired as a Controller and soon identified a serious lack of organizational structure in both personnel and processes. Working with the owner, I moved to General Manager and began the process of rebuilding the company from the inside out. Some of these achievements include:

  • Successfully implemented International's Prestige Program, enhancing operational efficiency and compliance across the organization.
  • Developed and implemented strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  • Overhauled the employee benefits and compensation packages making them more robust and fair while reducing costs. Created HR and OH&S policies and procedures consistent with the industry. The resulting outcome fostered a positive work environment and high employee satisfaction.
  • Successfully introduced budgets and set KPI's company wide. Trained managers and supervisors on how to plan and control costs to provide financial stability and long-term organizational growth.
  • Successfully transitioned the sale of Silver's Garage to Steele Auto Group and established a new division of East Coast International in late 2024.

Contract Review/Financial Analyst

Composites Atlantic Ltd.
02.2002 - 06.2009

I was initially hired for a maternity leave but quickly developed a rapport with the then owner. I worked closely with him to establish an in depth forecasting and sales budgeting model by customer, aircraft and parts requirements. Other projects included:

  • Successfully developed and maintained annual operating Budgets for 3 divisions.
  • Directed Continuous Improvement initiatives with a major customer, including training and organizing resources to take our manufacturing facility from a current state to a 'lean manufacturing' future state
  • Performed contract reviews for major customer, sales relations and returns; headed up work group for scrap root cause analysis and reporting
  • Conducted detailed financial analysis to identify and evaluate changes in operations, trends and potential areas of improvement.
  • Facilitated smooth month-end close processes by efficiently reconciling accounts and addressing discrepancies promptly.
