As a Medical Assistant and Medical Scribe, I provide both clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare providers in a fast-paced medical setting.

In my Medical Scribe role, I assist with real-time documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during patient encounters. Under direct supervision of the physician, I transcribe patient histories, physical exam findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately and efficiently. My duties are strictly clerical; I do not provide direct patient care or act independently.

In my Medical Assistant capacity, I perform a range of back and front office tasks including:

• Taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams
• Assisting with procedures, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection
• Documenting medical information in the EMR
• Maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms
• Scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education
• Supporting both in-person and Telehealth appointments
• Communicating effectively in both English and Spanish

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Supervise daily back office operations and staff workflow.
• Room patients, assist with injections, ultrasound procedures, and perform venipuncture.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, biologic medications, and foot care.
• Manage EHR documentation, autoclave use, exam room inventory, and scheduling.
• Verify insurance, collect payments, and support Telehealth appointments.
• Make sure that all notes are completed and well documented

• Conduct medical histories and perform physical examinations
