As a General Manager my responsibilities were all encompassing. A key role was to lead and develop a great team of department managers and floor supervisors, from receiving to merchandising to human resources and more.

- Scheduling budgets for department staffing.

- Sales projections for each department.

- Seasonal changeovers, up to date signage and planogram allocation.

- Inventory management

- Daily merchandising changes and or upgrades

- Weekly sales and flyer planning meetings.

- Stock level checks and sourcing for upcoming flyer items.

- Loss prevention and shrink reports.

- Human Resource oversight.

- Being available for all staff needs and questions.

Responsible for the day to day operations of a large volume retail design, sales and installation division of KEC Lumber Centre. Managing a team of 12 excellent design, sales and installation experts. Our team continually exceed quarterly and annual sales targets with record margins.

My position was Initially a one year contract while I was recovering from a work site injury. With the rapid growth and record profits I was asked to extend my contract which I agree to.
