I recently graduated in August 2025 from the Mechatronics Engineering Certificate Program at
Lake head University, further strengthening my foundation in advanced automation systems,
robotics integration, and control engineering. This builds upon my Mechanical Engineering
Technology - Robotics and Automation degree from Conestoga College, and complements over
three years of hands-on industry experience in automation controls, robotics programming, and
production management.
Most recently, I served as a Final Maintenance Supervisor at Ford Motor Company in Oakville (Aug
2022 - Jul 2023). In this role, I directly supervised a multidisciplinary team ofelectricians,
millwrights, welders, and toolmakers to maintain continuous vehicle production flow. l supported
assembly line operations by troubleshooting PLCs in real time, restoring robotic processes from
faults and quality deviations, and implementing engineering change processes. I also managed
payroll and administrative duties for over 30 employees per shift while ensuring production
efficiency, safety, and quality standards were consistently met.
Prior to Ford, I worked extensively in automation design and systems integration, contributing to
projects for major clients such as Magna, Ecolomondo, Jeni co, Masco, and St. Mail's Cement. My
responsibilities included electrical design, PLC and robotic programming, commissioning, and
customer support. I am proficient in Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Omron PLC platforms, as well as
HMI design. My programming experience spans Java, Visual Basic, C#, and C++, and I have
programmed Denso, Staubli, ABB, Panasonic, Motorman, Kuka, and Fanuc robots. I have executed
numerous robotic welding and painting applications using aMine simulation tools such as
ROBOGUIDE, DENSO, and DELFOI. Additionally, I am experienced in 3D design using AutoCAD
Inventor and SolidWorks, blueprint interpretation, and hands-on work with mechanical and electrical
systems.
My combined technical knowledge, leadership experience, and passion for automation make me a
strong candidate for your organization. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can both
contribute to and learn from cross-functional engineering teams. I am eager to apply my expertise
in robotics programming, automation integration, and process optimization to help advance your
company's goals.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute my
expertise to your team and discuss how my experience can support your company's goals.
Sincerely,
James Bishal Biswas
