My name is Jake Livingstone and I am currently finishing up a Master's degree in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Windsor. I am looking to move to the Ashville, NC area as my wife and I have fallen in love with the Blue Ridge Mountain region. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have gained valuable experience in applied research practices. I have over two years of work as an HR/Management consultant where I have gained experience and skills related to conducting research in the workplace and consulting HR departments on a variety of issues. I am currently working as an HR consultant working on solving workplace conflict issues and employee engagement. In my previous job as a management consultant, I worked on creating workshops to consult managers on leadership, communication, employee engagement, workplace conflict, as well as several other topics. I am also currently working as a paid researcher in the Centre for Culture and Organizational Research Lab at the University of Windsor. In the lab we conduct research related to EDI efforts in the workplace, collecting qualitative data using interview and focus group based techniques for the purposes of creating tools that companies can use to help create a more inclusive environment in the workplace.
