Jaime Laurenson

Hi! My name is Jaime, and I am 14 years old. I grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and moved to Vancouver at 13 years old. I enjoy playing sports and helping people. I am very organized and always make sure to submit things on time. I treat others with respect and kindness, and I appreciate everything that has been offered or given to me, no matter how small it is.

• I have been a member have multiple basketball teams, such as school teams and even outside of school.
• I am enrolled in 3 dance classes currently, such as Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. I hop to continue these classes in the future and maybe even do more.

• This year I was selected to be my school basketball teams team captain. In this roll I took charge of warm ups and occasionally gave tips to my team members.

• I love sports, I love to play them inside and outside of school. I love to play volleyball and basketball and I feel I have good skill in both of these activities but I do think I am better at basketball.
• I enjoy doing at home projects, such as crocheting clothing for myself. And sometimes I even crochet items for birthday gifts. I always prefer hand made gifts even if its just a card.

• When I was younger I watched this show called Chicago Med and there was one character who was always my favorite. Her name was Maggie, she was a Charge nurse, and the first time I saw her doing her job I told myself that what I wanna do when I grow up, and ever since then I have wanted to be a charge nurse.
• One day when I was looking around my moms closet I found this sweater that said york university on it, and I wondered why she had it so I asked her. She told me that York University was the school she went to become a cooperate lawyer. A few weeks later I was talking to my dad about hoe he got custody of my brother after his divorce with his mom. He told me he was really scared for most of it, Because majority of the time judges always choose the mom. That's when I realized I wanted to do something to change that. So that was the day that I decided to that being a family lawyer with a minor in phycology was going to be my plan B.
