Current Company Overview - Critical Environment Technologies is a leader in the design, manufacture, and service of gas detection and indoor air quality systems. They have developed more than 100 different products that are sold in all states and provinces and can be found in over 20 countries globally.

  • My role as a technician is to install, service, programme and calibrate gas detection transmitters. Calibrating of gas transmitters regularly to ensure proper working of sensors and transmitters.
  • I work with safety equipment that detects gas leaks and is connected to Building Automation Systems (BMS) or Direct Digital Controllers (DDC).
  • In case of a gas leak, the gas transmitter trigger’s strobe lights, buzzers, alarms, and exhaust fans when connected locally or send signals to the Fire department in some of the assigned facilities.
  • I specialize in working with over 50 deferent gases such as - Ammonia,Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide, Chlorine, Ethylene, Ethylene oxide, Formaldehyde, Hydrogen, Hydrogen fluoride, Hydrogen sulphate, Nitric oxide, Nitrogen dioxide, Oxygen, Ozone, Sulfur dioxide, Ethanol, Methanol, Methane, Propane, Hydrogen, TVOCs, R134A, R410A,R122, R123, R407, R507, RSF6 and more.
  • Some of the sites I service include Boiler rooms, Chiller rooms, Ice arenas,Water treatment plants, Hospitals and Labs, Data centers, Battery charging facilities, Welding rooms, Schools, Commercial kitchens and more.
  • Documenting all the paper work of different gas transmitters with different levels of alarm points. I also travel across Canada to deferent provinces to provide training on gas detection systems.
