Jagger Alvarez

As a Sophomore I was one of only a few opportunities provided by the coaches to "play up" to the Varsity Football Team. I was selected by the JV coaches to move up due to my leadership, commitment, work ethic, and maintaining the will to elevate our team's performance during practices and on game day.

More highlights of personal growth are below -

• Managed time efficiently to balance academic responsibilities with athletic commitments, maintaining a high level of performance in both areas.
• Developed strong rapport with teammates while navigating differences in grade levels, proving myself to my peers, and earning respect from upper classman.
• Fostered a supportive environment that encouraged collaboration on and off the field across multiple grade levels showing I can "manage up" to my environment.
• Mentored younger players, providing guidance on skill development and professional conduct within the team environment.

Participation in our school's Track program as a means of continuous improvement and conditioning. Although, not my most anticipated sport, I recognize I am working towards a long-term goal which is the highest levels of contribution to my primary sport, Football.

I believe this can translate to a working environment where long term goals are critical to daily success. I am confident that I can champion the company mission and help my "work team" achieve any goals we are tasked with.

Further, I displayed the following attributes throughout the season -

• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.

Working with younger kids, coaches, and sometimes boisterous parents informed me at a young age that I am able to deal with many personality types when the stakes are higher than normal.

This is a tool that I know can apply to a work environment where it may be fast paced and the quality of customer service is on the line... I am comfortable with that challenge and am a proven performer while under pressure.

Extended accomplishments are below -

• Promoted good sportsmanship among players.
• Stayed composed and professional in high-pressure and emotionally-charged situations with coaches, players and fans.
• Fielded questions from athletes and coaches regarding specific scenarios and calls.
• Promoted fair play by consistently enforcing baseball regulations throughout each match.

Natural curiosity and willingness to learn something new! At this camp students learn about solar energy, practice STEM skills, and develop awareness of global energy issues with the comprehensive curriculum.

• Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.
• Learned and adapted quickly to new technology and software applications.
• Developed and maintained courteous and effective working relationships.
