Summary

Throughout my life I enjoyed working on hands-on projects with my father. This has piqued my interest in learning more about mechanical engineering and technology. In high school, during my junior and senior year, I joined the Knob Noster High School Robotics 6424 team. I was introduced to more detailed projects, gained more experience, and networked with likeminded students. During our team's preparation in the off season, I assembled swerve modules, created the foundations for the robot using blueprints and instructions of the design team to follow rules and regulations for the tournament. Our team traveled to multiple states to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, winning multiple awards. Awards as follows: 2023 Excellence of Engineering (Oklahoma), 2023 Regional winners for (Oklahoma, Iowa, and Green County), 2023 Woodie Flowers Finalist, and 2024 Regional winners for (Green County and Iowa). In the fall of 2024, I attended the University of Central Missouri. I completed my first college semester towards my mechanical engineering degree earning a GPA of 2.8. I am aware of my GPA is not the result I wanted it to be. I put myself in this situation by taking 5 classes. With this experience, I need to be more focused on each course specifically. I admit I was overwhelmed with the course load, and I plan to take the minimum full-time courses. I want to pursue my personal goal to complete my Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree. Mechanical engineering is fun, and I loved how challenging it is to work in different situations. Through my early experiences, I developed skills using different tools, operating machinery equipment, and following safety standards. This gave me confidence that I can make good decisions in real world scenarios. I have strong teamwork, leadership, and management skills. I am willing to learn more and gain experience for the future. This subject fueled my passion to become a mechanical engineer.
