  • Support the Lead and Advisor with the planning of peer review requirement, including advising on the recruitement process.
  • Proivde administrative support for peer review recruitment planning activities, such as, validating and approving members, sending invitations and tracking communications.
  • Work collaboratively with my team members and other CIHR members to better contribute to the development and efficiency and quality of of competition peer review documents.
  • Support operational analysis in development of strategic competition funding opportunities and contribute to the design and planning of these funding opportunities.
  • Provide administrative support by drafting presentations, documents, briefing notes, and correspondences with relevant stakeholders such as reviewers, executives, CIHR colleagues, etc.
  • Provide support for the prepartion and maintenance of competition documents and peer review materials.
  • Develop tracking systems for a more efficient and readily accessible view of peer review committee member information.
  • Create new invitation templates for strategic competitions in order to better represent the strategic funding opportunity.

  • Monitor and provide regular updates regarding the status of competition activities, within project or award competitions, including, monitoring progress in recruitment, gap filling, ATR responses, assignment completion, Microsoft Teams technical issues, RiT participants and practice review, and quickly respond to issues or escalating situations that may happen during the course of a competition.
  • Prepare reviewer assignments, flagging expertise gaps and making recommendations to the Lead and Advisor on potential reviewers.
  • Keep all databases and tools up to date, including the CRM, Microsoft Tasks, EIS, and Teams Planner.
  • Provide ongoing support to reviews and executives throughout the competition and staying proactive to resolve any arising issues.
  • Help to identify issues with competition processes and procedures to support the DOCC and the continuous business improvement of the competitions.
