As a Certified Professional Controller at a Level 12 Air Route Traffic Control Center, I issue control instructions to
aircraft within an assigned airspace in order to ensure adequate vertical and lateral separation, and maintain a safe and expeditious flow of aircraft. I also maintain proficiency at current air traffic procedures and orders, handle both routine and emergency situations involving aircraft, conduct on the job training instruction of air traffic trainees as a certified on the job training instructor (OJTI), and supervise the operational area and other controllers as a Controller in Charge (CIC).
As a police officer assigned to the Uniform Patrol division, my duties included responding to emergency and
non emergency calls for service from citizens, becoming familiar with the residents of the areas that I patrolled, initiating proactive crime detection and preventative measures (traffic stops, issuing citations, making arrests, citizen encounters, maintaining high visibility to the public in high crime areas), and completing detailed and accurate police reports and legal documents.
As an Emergency Medical Technician, I provided both emergency and non-emergency care to patients in an ambulance environment. This included monitoring vitals (blood pressure, pulse, breath sounds and rythmn, heart rate), starting IVs, performing CPR, documenting medical reports, and keeping inventory of the ambulance's medical supplies.
