Jacob Runnalls

Motivated and disciplined physics major at Queen’s University, pursuing a pre-med track with a strong academic foundation and experience in teamwork as a university football player. Skilled in physical labor, problem-solving, and time management through experience of juggling academics on top of forty hours a week of football. Dedicated to excellence and ready to contribute to a dynamic team and fast paced environment.

• Over 250 community service volunteering hours primarily focused around food insecurity and youth involvement. Achievements recognized in the community by a scholarship provided by the Kanata Knights Football Club.
• Successful planning and construction of a rail gun for a design lab project, powered by using electromagnetic induction to accelerate a conducting material.
• Offered a summer internship studying and working at the SNOLAB in Sudbury, Ontario 2km underground. Duties would involve working with the SNO+ experiment using H₂O₂ to observe neutrino particles and also PICO experiment to observe Weakly Interacting Massive Particles to try and understand more about dark matter.
