My name is Jacob Kilbourn, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Woodland Hills. I am a very hard working and dedicated individual. I spent my time at Camp Alonim as a counselor in training. At the Time I was there I learned effective communication and leadership skills, proving my ability to manage behavior and solve problems creatively. My experience at United Methodist Church further refined my time management and decision-making capabilities helping out with feeding the homeless. I stocked the pantry, moved loads and boxes, and handed out food. This helped me gain a strong set of critical skills.
In addition, I have worked at Vons both as a Courtesy Clerk and a Meat Department Clerk. As a Courtesy Clerk I assisted customers and helped maintain a clean store, making sure for a positive shopping experience. As a Meat Department Clerk I prepare, package, and stock products maintaining cleanliness and food safety. I also assist customers with any questions or special requests, ensuring the items are always well-presented. These roles strengthened my customer service skills and have taught me how to work efficently in a fast-pace, also bettering my ability to manage my responsibilities as a part of a team.
