Ambitious EMT striving to become a 9-1-1 paramedic.
At Falcon Critical Care Transport, I utilized my training and knowledge from my EMS academy to transport patients from facility to facility, to ensure each patient gets transported safely. During my time at Falcon CCT, I worked both BLS & CCT shifts, as well as standby events, giving me the opportunity to improve my patient assessments, gurney operations, rig checks, communication skills, giving & receiving reports, taking vitals, and more. Working IFT allowed me to familiarize myself with different LEMSA policies throughout different counties in the Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara County. Working out of Alameda, I have also obtained my Santa Clara badge, as we are given calls out of Santa Clara County when other units are unavailable.
At Allied Universal Event Services, I work as a supervisor at a variety of venues, including Levi's Stadium, Cal Berkeley, and Cow Palace, during large concerts, sporting events, and conventions. As an Event Security Supervisor, I am responsible for training, briefing, and managing my staff during each and every event. I coordinate efforts with event representatives, the ESPN crew, law enforcement, EMS, and members of the local fire department/Cal Fire to ensure all safety policies, protocols, and fire codes are met and maintained throughout the duration of the event, including ingress and egress, in order to provide a safe environment for all guests and staff members. Due to the unpredictable nature of this job, I have responded to a large variety of incidents, ranging from overdoses, falls, altered and unconscious guests, to serious altercations among multiple individuals. Through my work experience, I have learned to become adaptable, stay calm in stressful situations, possess better observational skills, de-escalate tense situations, communicate over the radio, and write detailed incident reports. With my recent promotion to Mentor Supervisor, I am tasked with training new supervisors to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to fulfill the duties of a supervisor.
