Summary

After 2 years of professional work experience in Data Development and Analytics and a subsequent period to reflect on what I want from my career, I have learned that I am someone that wishes to work with data, but also with people. Liaising with people that are equally passionate about delivering functional solutions and helping them to feel a sense of accomplishment from their work is what I enjoy most about working in data. I am looking for a role that continues to make me feel like I am helping people and learning technical skills myself so I can teach others and help them find value in what they do. I have lived in Canada for 1 year. My Open Work Permit expires in September 2025 with multiple avenues for maintaining work rights in Canada afterwards.

I am willing to provide references upon request.

Skills

  • Communication within a team: I believe this is my strongest skill having worked more so in operational than project-based positions that rely more on personal organisation skills than technical skills
  • Perseverance: Learning how to use Python and SQL in a professional environment from scratch in the same year instigated plenty of self doubt and pushing through that has made me confident I can do this again with other platforms
