Accomplishments
As an amateur athlete in my early 20's, I won a gold medal in the Canadian National National Track Championships ( 4000 m. team pursuit) in 1969, 1970, 1973. In 1972, I competed as a member of Canada's Olympic Road Cycling Team as a member of the 100 km Team Pursuit at the Munich Olympics.
In 1974 I became a certified Level 2 Cross Country Ski Instructor in Canada. The same year I started, with a partner, a business in Winnipeg called Lifesport, after which we split and I opened Overland Ski & Sport. In 1980, I closed that business to conceptualize and open Form & Function, which I sold to my bookkepper in 1983, moved to Vancouver, and opened Form & Function there. Lifesport continued in business until the death of my former partner in 2022.
