Summary

My objective is to obtain a full time job while finishing my final semester at the University of Victoria. I am currently completing my Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Psychology, focusing mainly on the behavioral sciences such as social psychology and mental health and wellbeing. I intend to get my Bachelors of Education and pursue a career as an elementary teacher. I plan to apply my psychology background and understanding mental health and well-being to enhance the learning environment and foster the educational developmental of children. I have done lots of volunteering involving children and youth who have experienced significant types of challenges. These experiences contributed to my development in skills such multitasking, problem-solving efficiently, and working in a team oriented environment, allowing me to foster solid connections and work effectively with others.

Hull Child and Family Services Stampede Breakfast (2019-Current) 

  • Annual event put on by Hull Services for children and families who experience significant challenges such as developmental trauma, repeated abuse, abandonment, neglect and poverty.
  • Work with large groups of children who have experienced significant trauma, planning and coordinating activities such as arts and crafts and games, enhancing their fine motor skills and promoting cognitive development through engaging and hands on activities
