In 2022, I volunteered with Be2Live in La Mision, Mexico, where our group spent a week supporting the local community through hands-on service and cultural exchange. Each morning, we helped build a playground for a local orphanage by mixing and pouring concrete. In the afternoons, we either played with the children or assisted with water delivery and home construction for families in need. This experience taught me that small acts of service, guided by empathy and presence, can create meaningful change and deep human connection.

In 2023, I volunteered with African Impact in Livingston, Zambia, where we visited local schools to engage with children after classes. Our goal was to offer positive, structured activities that helped reduce the risk of them getting involved in unsafe situations. Through play, conversation, and consistency, we were able to bring joy, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. These experiences shaped my understanding of global community, strengthened my commitment to service, and showed me how compassion and action can make a lasting difference.
