A dedicated student at the University of MacEwan. I would love to gain more experience through volunteering and giving back to my community. I believe that my previous work and and volunteer experiences will help me to offer hard work and dedication to any program.
At my job, I do a bit of everything. This includes preparing toppings and ingredients, making pizza, answering phone calls, and assisting customers. This job has allowed me to improve my multitasking skills as I am responsible for multiple tasks at once. My social skills have also improved working with my co-workers and dealing with new customers daily.
I learned many valuable skills working at Cactus Club. I worked as a part of the kitchen team and we were responsible for managing the large volume of orders while simultaneously maintaining a clean and stable work environment. My team work skills improved dramatically as I was scheduled with multiple co-workers for the entirety of my shifts.
At the Italian Center, I stocked shelves and assisted customers with their shopping. I was responsible for distributing store products throughout different sections of the store daily. This job allowed me to improve my customer service skills as I was constantly available for customer assistance throughout my shift.
I volunteered to deliver groceries to seniors in South Edmonton during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, I helped with their annal Christmas dinner celebrating their many drivers and clients. This was one of my first volunteer jobs and I learned that volunteering in my community can make a drastic impact on other people's lives.
I washed dishes, helped prepare food, assisted with cleanup, and entertained young children throughout the day. Volunteering with Wings of Providence allowed me to work with new people and give back to families in need.
I helped set up and serve Christmas dinner to 500 people living with homelessness. I worked with many other volunteers to help make this event run smoothly. Speaking and working with a variety of people at this event allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and improve my communication skills.
