• Assist customers in finding the best product for their needs

• Responsible for implementing the rules of the game in accordance with Hockey Canada Standards

• Preparation, and inspection of the nets and ice surface prior to the start of the game
• Filling out game sheets in accordance to BC Hockey standards
• Maintaining a professional demeanor even when being yelled at by players, coaches, and fans
• Regular communication with referee schedulers to ensure I was on games that needed officials.

This position shared many of the same attributes as my referee employment.

• In 2016 I received the "Umpire of the Year" award for my exceptional professionalism, punctuality, and the connection I built with the community

I had a keen interest in bikes, however I did not posses the necessary skills for employment. I spent a year volunteering to gain experience.

• Maintained store appearance by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and facing products
• Shadowed sales staff and mechanics to learn valuable skills
• Assisted customers with questions and helped guide them to the correct products
• Performed minor repairs and assembled bicycles
