Summary

Student at CDI College since January of 2023. Pursuing Human services counseling and substance use. eveloped the specific awareness of knowledge, and skills associated with a particular racial or ethnic minority, but also requires awareness of one’s own cultural attitude and beliefs. I am a well grounded, mature, person ready to walk along side active substance use in clients. My strengths include timely communication with individuals, completing documentation on time, following up with parents, families, and providers as it relates to care, making sure I have the appropriate level of care for the people that I am working with, and ensuring that individuals know that our work together will be a collaborative effort. I achieve these by helping them with responsible decision making, advising them to think through with their choices and not act impulsively, and allowing them to work on their social skills with other people. I have experience with completing diagnostic assessments and level of harm reduction managing mindful trauma informed care and if an individual has an immediate need for end-of-life decisions. I am hoping to leverage my relevant education, experience, passion, and skills into supporting and caring for individuals in crises.
