- I work as a Senior IT Business Analyst within the Customer Employer product team that owns and manages the customer self-service application suite (Online Services). We work in an agile team running regular sprints to deliver projects as well as BAU deliverables.
- I manage multiple streams of work within the product team such as projects, BAU enhancements and L3 support for production incidents. Elements from each stream need to be scoped within the backlog, sized and scheduled based on their relative priority compared to other initiatives. Once an initiative is brought into the sprint, I have to plan its complete lifecycle from scoping until release, allocate resources, coordinate with the technical team working on the initiative, support the development by removing any hurdles and collaborate with various teams within WSIB (Shared Services, vendor etc.)
- I also carry out planning for new IT initiatives. I have drafted multiple Initial Opportunity Assessments and participated in Blueprinting sessions for large initiatives (OSBC). I work as the process and knowledge management SME for the team managing tools and artefacts such as Jira, Confluence, sprint planning and retrospectives. I have brought about various process improvements related to scrum processes within the team.
- Recent engagements:
- Project lead for development of high business value enhancements on eServices applications:
- 1. Access to the account balance in real time on the ePremium application
- 2. Mandating creation of an online services profile before registering a new business
- 3. Capture the Direction of Authorization information as part of account registration to further the WSIB’s digital only mandate and reduce paper processing
- Project lead for IT Heatmap:
- Worked in the capacity of a project lead in the technology refresh initiative aimed at upgrading the technology components for all employer self-service applications.
- I created the scope statement, implementation schedule and resource plan
- Managed a team of developers working on the upgrades and reported progress/delays to management. Managed risk and escalations needed to meet project timelines
- Coordinated with teams outside our product team, planned and managed releases, worked with QA and business persons to validate product versions
- Application SME for the payments provider procurement:
- Participated in the procurement process of a new payments provider for WSIB in 2022. I was part of the team that drafted the Request for Proposal and evaluated the response from vendors for ITC.
