Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

King Fahd Military Medical Complex (KFMMC)

  • Spent nearly a decade at this large JCI-accredited academic hospital; the largest of three military hospitals in Saudi Arabia's eastern province with 300-bed capacity, 40-bed ICU, and 11 operating rooms.
  • Served 1 year as the orthopedics residency program director alongside my surgical practice and clinics where I managed complex trauma cases as well as elective cases.
  • Brought to the hospital expertise in the management of pelvic and acetabular fractures as well as complex fractures. These surgeries were previously not done at this hospital and patients were routinely transferred roughly 500km away to Riyadh city. I took over all such cases and accepted referrals of patients with such fractures from other hospitals.
